As part of their second CD project, of Her hand, Tres Lunas commissioned Elgin artist Murray Altman-Kaough to create an oil painting for the cover. This striking work met with such enthusiasm that the trio decided to sell reproductions of the painting to support an organization that benefits women world wide. Women for Women International provides women survivors of war, civil strife and other conflicts with the tools and resources to move from crisis and poverty to stability and self-sufficiency, thereby promoting viable civil societies.
This Giclée print was meticulously matched to the original oil on canvas painting to attain a reproduction that faithfully captures the essence of the original painting.
Each print is created using acid free paper in conjunction with archival pigmented inks that are engineered to last 75 plus years.
With proper care and handling, this Giclée print will last more than 100 years according to an independent study by Wilhelm Imaging Research.

Beginning with their debut concert, Tres Lunas has given the gift of music to help make our world a better place.
Tres Lunas has performed numerous benefit concerts for Bastrop County non-profits. Halloween and Christmas concerts at Buescher State Park benefited the Friends of the Lost Pines State Parks. Donning their “Sadie Hawkins Best,” they presented a Leap Day show for FireCap and then threw a Blue Moon Soiree for Advocacy Outreach. They donated live performances and CDs to Neighbors for Neighbors, Inc.(PO Box 661, Elgin, TX 78621) and to the Elgin Arts Association's swank “Pearls” show, prelude to the infamous and rowdy Hogeye Festival (oink, oink).
The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin also benefited from three spectacular Tres Lunas' performances following the release of their first CD, Moonrise.

In 2006 Tres Lunas donated their Moonrise recording of Danse Macabre by Saint-Seans, for use in a Sizemore Media documentary, Saving Lives: Victoria Voices on Health Care, that captured the bronze award in the 2008 Houston International Film Festival, WorldFest Houston. This 30-minute film investigates the exodus of medical professionals who have left Victoria hospitals in recent years.
Told entirely through interviews with the doctors still remaining in Victoria at the time (several of whom have now departed), the film focuses on one community's collapsing health care safety net, but reveals an underlying national crisis as health care becomes more expensive, funding mechanisms become more controversial, and our population continues to age.
This documentary aired five times on Victoria's ABC, NBC and FOX affiliates in December '06 and January '07. Community groups also gathered for private viewings and copies of the film were made available to the Texas Medical Association.
